DroppedPacketz is a retro Windows XP–style network tycoon where you build the internet from scratch — one dropped packet at a time.

You just founded your own ISP in a garage with a single copper line. Cable your servers to the uplink, rack web, DNS and streaming modules, and grow purple share cables outward — homes appear wherever your network reaches. Every delivered page pays. Every dropped packet costs you.

Build the network

• Place servers and install modules — Web, DNS, Storage, Firewall, Scanner, VPN, Game Hosting, Streaming, Mail and more — each with its own typed port.
• Lay cables in six tiers, from 56 KB/s copper all the way to 1 GB/s backbone fiber. Watch congestion glow red when a line saturates.
• Balance load with traffic splitters — queued packets dynamically re-route to freer servers with the same services.

Defend the network

• Script kiddies, worms and DDoS botnets attack through your uplink ports — install Firewalls to drop them and Scanners to clean infections.
• Overloaded servers fail, approval craters, and users churn. Keep the packets flowing or the mob leaves.

Grow the empire

• Earn cash, take bank loans, buy new land plots and unlock advanced modules.
• Research labs boost bandwidth, cooling, marketing and security.
